It’s not everyday that you get a chance to explore the great outdoors. And even less chance for you to bring out that trusty pocket knife. It’s no wonder that when you do get the chance to camp out, the old trusty pocket knife turns out to be a bit dull and rusty. Which is to be expected. To get the most of any knife, you have to be using it often.
Storing a knife for an extended period is a sure way to make it dull. This is specially true of pocket knives. Just in case you do go out on a camping trip, keep a pocket knife sharpener handy. This is not an optional item.
Knives have to be used to get the most of them. If you use it on things it’s not supposed to cut, it will get dinged. If you don’t use it at all, it will get dull. It’s a rare (and expensive) knife which doesn’t need to be sharpened. Pocket knives are a great thing to have during camping, and for maintenance purposes, it’s good to have your pocket knife sharpener with you when you do.
